Thank You to Everyone Who Made Whole Foods' Community Giving Day a Success!
Submitted by Stacey on Wed, 2014-03-26 12:13We are so thankful to all of you who showed support for Groundwork Lawrence by getting some shopping done at Whole Foods Andover on Community Giving Day! As many of you know, Whole Foods Andover generously donated 5% of their net sales on March 19th to Groundwork Lawrence for a grand total of $4,257! This is a great example of how cross sector organizations can come together for change. From all of us at Groundwork Lawrence, a HUGE thank you to all you shoppers and Whole Foods Andover!
Next Step Living Home Energy Assesments

Their initiatives include home energy assessments, weatherization work, solar panel information and installation and providing expert advice on other ways to reduce energy use, become more sustainable and even save some money!

That is until you can get your grocery shopping done and support Groundwork Lawrence with no added effort. Whole Foods of Andover is providing that opportunity and making it easy to support a great local non-nonprofit. On March 19th, Whole Foods will be donating 5% of their net sales to Groundwork as part of their Community Giving Day! It's a great way to support the work in your community at no cost to you.

We are hiring for Green Team 2014!

The Green Team school year employment program offers part-time paid positions for high school students, from Lawrence, MA to help lead and learn about local environmental and health issues, conduct research, raise awareness, challenge their peers to do community service, and participate in hands-on improvement projects throughout the City of Lawrence. Green Team members will work 20 hours per month, as well as, volunteer 40 hours over the course of five months through a combination of after school and weekend work.

Reporting to the Program Director, this position collaborates with two other Education Coordinators, AmeriCorps Service Learning Coordinator, and temporary summer staff to deliver top quality environmental and public health youth programming, assists with the management of 10-20 youth employees, and helps integrate youth into GWL’s community activities and events.

What is Eco-Art?
