Improving our Opportunities for Recreation and Physical Activity: Engaging Youth in Research and Local Policy Project is a collaboration between Tufts Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, Community Development Department and Groundwork Lawrence that engages local youth in research. A community based research project that is assessing the quality and condition of physical activity resources, specifically parks, with an eye towards changing the environment and policy as opposed to individual behavior change.
This project is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation through its national program Active Living Re-search, grant #67308.
