Calling all musicians, singers, artists, dancers, poets, and entertainers of all kinds…Groundwork Lawrence is looking for acts to perform at our Wednesday and Saturday Farmers Markets. Our markets run:
Sat 10am-2pm on the corner of Lawrence and Park Sts
Wed 9am-4pm on Appleton Way between City Hall and the Court House.

Using SNAP Benefits to Grow Your Own Food (USDA article)

June 24, 2011 -- Every month, more than 44 million people use SNAP benefits to access nutritious food. Most of us probably imagine individuals purchasing items like tomatoes, squash, and apples with their benefits. SNAP, however, can also help people buy seeds and plants that produce edible items. All SNAP retailers, including Farmers’ Markets, are authorized to sell seeds and plants to SNAP participants.

Farmers Market Begins Tomorrow!

Our Saturday Farmers Market is set to begin tomorrow, July 9th, 216 Lawrence St., corner of Lawrence & Park Sts. 10-2pm. Please come down and purchase fresh, local fruits & vegetables. We Accept EBT/SNAP/Food Stamps/WIC/Senior Coupons/Cash/Debit & Credit. If you can't make it tomorrow we also have a Wednesday market on Appleton Way from 9-4pm.
