Commonwealth Invests in Lawrence with Multi-Million Dollar Gateway Initiative Grant to Fund River Revitalization
Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 2010-07-09 12:30Groundwork Lawrence and the City of Lawrence have been awarded $2.6M from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for its Spicket River Revitalization Project. The funds allow for the realization of a decade-long effort to build the Spicket River Greenway, which will link the new and existing parks along the River through the lowest-income areas of Lawrence. Lawrence Farmers Markets Open for the Season!

This season, in addition to our market on Wednesdays at Appleton Way, we are offering new markets on Tuesdays from 4-7:30pm at the McGovern Train Station and Saturdays from 9-1 at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center's Park Street site at the corner of Park and Lawrence Streets.
