Root Cause Selects Groundwork Lawrence as a 2013 Social Innovator!

This December, Root Cause’s Social Innovation Forum selected Groundwork Lawrence as one of five innovative, results-oriented organizations in Greater Boston to receive more than $115,000 in cash and capacity-building services from Root Cause and its partners! GWL was named the 2013 Healthy LifeStyles Social Innovator for promoting healthy behaviors in our community projects. At Groundwork, we are very grateful for the recognition, as well as the generous awards that come with it.

Senior Farmers Market Coupons to be Distributed August 1st!

"Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc. and Lawrence Senior Center will be hosting distribution of the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutritional Program coupons on Wednesday, August 1st at 8:00am – 11:00am, located at 155 Haverhill Street, Lawrence. It will be first come, first serve for eligible seniors. Lawrence elder residents 60 are encouraged to attend the Lawrence distribution site.

GWL is seeking a Program Director to lead and grow a variety of education and community initiatives. The Program Director provides overall leadership, direction, development, management, and evaluation of GWL’s programs for youth, families, adults, and groups. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position plays a key leadership role both internally and externally and directly manages staff, outcomes, and collaborative efforts with local, state, and national partners.
